The Cottage Inn was known to have been in existence from at least 1967 until 1974.
Lois Wolff owned and operated the business from 1967 until 1969.[1]
The sign at the front of the building boasted "home style cooking" and "truckers welcome."
Brenda (Schieffer) Robb, patron of the former restaurant, recalls, "I remember spinning on the round counter seats, eating chocolate cake donuts, and drinking chocolate milk there."
After the Cottage Inn Restaurant closed, it became the original Yankee Kitchen location in 1975. The building stood in the area where the Pitt Stop Brew Thru sits today (2026).
