Scott's Service Station, also known as H. L. Scott's Service Station, was owned and operated by Harry Leslie Scott from 1933 until his death in 1966.[1]
The business was originally located on the southwest corner of Warren-Sharon Road and State Route 193. Today, the site is occupied by the parking lot of AMVETS Post 290.
The last time "Scott's Service Station" was used as the business name was in 1952; it was changed to "H. L. Scott Gas and Oil" by 1953.
Although Harry L. Scott died in 1966, the business continued to operate under the leadership of his wife, Marvelle, until her death in 1971. The business was known to be in existence until at least 1979.
The business moved to a site south of the center on State Route 193, date unknown. The address at this location was 376 Youngstown-Kingsville Road. Today, that site is occupied by Source One Adjusters of Ohio: Vehicle Repossession Services.
