The 1986 Varsity Golf season was a memorable one. We set goals and met them, which is most gratifying as a coach. We improved our team average. We were able to play a number of golfers in competition and letter. We wont the TIC League championship and finished 14-3, the best record in the program's history. The team also finished sixth out of fifteen teams at districts. Brian Clute's dedication over the summer merited him the most valuable honors, while Monica Ellis, the first girl in the school's history to play and letter for the program, was team captain. -Coach David Washington
