Except from the 1936 Vi-Hi about the team:

The team had "the old spunk" in '34 to take the only baseball championship trophy that Vienna has ever won. Graduation took the heart out of the team and left only two regular players and three subs. The boys won nine straight games although they were playing against some of the hardest teams in the county and they finally ended the season by winning the Trumbull County championship. For the championship, the team was awarded with two trophies. One trophy was a traveling cup. This may be kept by the school that wins the championship for three consecutive years. The other trophy is kept at the school.

In 1933, the team lost the first game and won the last four games. During the championship season the scores were as follows: Vienna 2, Braceville 1; Vienna 8, Lordstown 3; Vienna 6, Champion 0; Vienna 14, Liberty 1. The semi-final score was Vienna 7, Gustavus 1. The final score was Vienna 13, Bloomfield 3.
