Vienna High School Girls Basketball, Trumbull County Champions, 1937
The Vienna High School Girls' Basketball team snapped Champion High School Girls' Team's win streak to capture the Trumbull County Girls' Basketball title on March 2, 1937, at Warren G. Harding High School in Warren, Ohio. The score was 36-24. This game attracted the largest crowd in tournament history. During this final championship game, the coach of the Champion girls' team put two guards on the high-scoring center of the Vienna girls' team, Dora White. While Dora White was being guarded by these two Champion players, Vienna's forward, Dorothy Clower, was left open to score 18 points to help defeat Champion. Margaret Taiclet was named best defensive guard of the tourney.

On February 10, 1937, Vienna beat Bazetta in the second round. Vienna beat Johnston in the Quarter Finals on February 16, 1937.
The Semifinals took place on February 26, 1937. Champion beat Mesopotamia, and Vienna beat Howland. Vienna's Dora White (All-County Forward in 1936) scored 16 points, as many points as the whole Howland team. The score was 23-16.
